Live from "The Cactus Cafe" in Austin Texas, Sarah Jarosz performs the Bill Withers classic "Grandma's Hands" from her new cd on Sugar Hill Records "Song up in Her Head". She is joined on Mandolin by Alex Hargreaves And on upright Bass Samson Grisman. Sarah is a true spirit and even at her young age is considered one of the top talents. I personally first saw her playing at age 14 with the David Grisman Quintet and was blown away. Luckily I've been in Austin the past few years and have been able to see her grow into major label artist. Her new album "Song up in her head" is a fantastic record with some of the biggest names in bluegrass/acoustic music on it. Sarah is worthy of all the praise and attention she is given and handles it with the poise of a seasoned veteran. Make sure you support the artists and buy studio releases and go to live shows. www.sarahjarosz.com www.sugarhill.com www.abboriginalproductions.com

  • David Grisman's (as in, David Grisman that played with Jerry Garcia) son on bass. Just sayin'...

  • I like this

  • Good choice, Sarah...one of Bill's better, less-played songs

  • Not to be pedantic or anything, but this song isn't on SJ's debut CD. A studio version is on her "New45" single (digital DL & vinyl) as the 'B-Side' to the exquisite new recording of 'My Muse.'

  • I <3 Sarah!!!!!
