Watch as the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj are opened on Medivh server and the entire world braces for a second Silithid invasion. This was the most epic event I remember in the game World of Warcraft, yes, even including scripted events from Wrath of the Lich King & the Burning Crusade.

Medivh was the first server in the world to open up the gates which allowed for the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj 20-man dungeon, similar to Zul'Gurub in difficulty, and the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj, the third 40-man endgame dungeon to be featured in World of Warcraft. The final boss of Ahn'Qiraj, C'thun, remains the most challenging, the most difficult, the most epic encounter until Naxxramas was released a half year later.

Scion Guild was the first guild on Khadgar (US) to dominate all content in Ahn'Qiraj continuing their tradition of completing endgame content well before the other guilds and definitely putting Khadgar on the map.

  • @Trolltje It could come back in a different way. If people just petitioned blizzard to implement the old raiding content into the raid finder. Then we could all enjoy it again at the right level range.

  • @DidntYouOhNo300 There were some great improvements. But also a greater loss.

  • @GileadsFinest By giving everyone the ability to do everything each other classes could do. Took the unique roll playing aspect out of this game. Blizzard has become lazy with the content they put out for this game and they ruin the games they make with each patch they put out.

  • This was one of the most biggest events to any dungeon. Shame they don't put more emphasis in the new content.

  • Balance in an MMO, at its very core, is an absurd concept. This is not to say that one or two classes should dominate all. Rather, classes should all be unique, all have their ups and downs, and all have their own little piece of overpowered. The only way to truly balance every class is to make everyone the same (homogenization), which WoW has been doing more and more. More classes are getting self-healing and mortal strike abilities, buffs are becoming replaceable, etc. etc.
