As taught in London and the UK. Similar to Tiger Crane from Singapore.

At the 2002 White Crane festival held in Yong Chun.

See www.fwckungfu.com for more information about this group

This is all blended from Yong Chun White Crane with - other stuff - see www.namyang.co.uk for the Tiger Crane where this originates for more accurate information about what these people are based on I think - correct me in comment if wrong!

  • Check this out, traditionnal Shaolin White Crane system, really rare. This style has been created before China turned out to be aggressive towards REAL martial arts, those that can actually serve for real fighting. For a long time, MA in China is fake BS...all the real styles are hold by exiled family a while ago.(type youtube dot you know before it,hey disabled links in comments) watch?v=5pzFdOf7IM8&feature=related

  • Hello,

Yes I am familiar withthe flying crane taught by Lourne Bernard. Lovely stuff. Have a look at my clip on "demographic inertia" where I answer your point of view. Best Wishes,

    Martin

  • The Chief instructor's (master Dennis Ngo) family were in fact refugees of the cultural revolution and moved from Fujian to Singapore. So in a sense this club is from an exiled master.

  • @MrLabratic Thanks for the information. But not in the sense that this was studied in China and then he was exiled. A great percentage of chinese in Singapore, Taiwan and other asian countries have left china for political reasons as I am sure you know. Best Wishes. M

  • This is very interesting. Do you know where I can find more videos on this white crane art ?

I have searched far and wide, and it seems to be a very secretive art

  • What you are seeing here is Tiger Crane from Singapore - which is a mix of yong chun white crane and other stuff. Suggest you search for NamYang on the internet - or Ian Armstrong to see Singapore Tiger Crane and for more information. -

  • God, the forms are good but it looks so disorganized.

  • @y979 There's many styles of crane systems, the Shaolin White Crane KF do comes from Fujian province but it has 3 styles or dominant branches (must be other styles, either really rare or dead), the Tiger,Crying and Flying White Crane. I've practiced the Flying Crane system and it is a very beautifull, effective and deadly MA. And yes there's jumping kicks, at least in the Flying Crane system, I don't know much about the others. This video's kinda cheasy but original Fujian KF is authentic.

  • Wow, right away I can see the similarities to Uechi Ryu, which perhaps is the closest to WC of all karate styles.

  • Strictly speaking yes. See pattern On the Floor; Earth's Core. But yes, you are correct, such kicks are used sparingly.
