  • Judi. The tune is taken from the uk version of the hymn (traditionally sung in the Anglican church). I chained it a little (made it minor instead of major). The refrain, and the part that begins 'he breaks the power of cancelled sin' are original parts of the score and the words to the refrain also mine.

  • So my question is, did you write all the music, or just the refrain? 'Cause this sure isn't the way I hear it on Sunday mornings! Love it!!

  • i wish somebody would be able to grace us also with Graham Kendrick's cover for this eternal hymn. I could deal without the David Crowder version though, just don't have a taste for most of the modern day, electric guitar-distoriton etc

  • *smiles* Thank you Charles Wesley :)

  • Great song, greater message!

  • Way to go Mike, having seen your passion first hand, I can picture you singing this with a smile that lights up the room.
