MRE as a snack ? why have a good life when you can eat stuff that tastes bad.... and why would you think you would need to cook your MRE in silence in a building ? the russians and northkoreans wont invade your home dude.......

ummm do you know what the angle is....cuz i use the tabasco sauce thing to keep it at an angle and it doesnt stay that warm

Just a remote temperature sensor, they are used a lot in engine repair, Heating & A/C, refigeration, etc
Cost around $30 usually

Ok this might be either a realy dumb or realy smart question.
When the food is done heating what do i do with the heater? will it cool down? Can i just throw it away?

it does cool down quickly as the chemical reaction ends
