@whalleybanger because they have absolutely no welfare laws in China. The way they are kept and killed there is far worse than anything that would be allowed in the Uk or US.

I know that this is a comedy bit, but perhaps it's a bad influence on ignorant Americans. Oh, well, whatta ya gonna do? It may just be a perfect parody of Americans visiting another country. It's hard to tell, with Cross, because he's so tongue-in-cheek, and only the truly clever will get his point. For all I know, he's mocking the fact that most Americans who go to China, and other countries, behave in a foolish manner. Which is, typically, true.
