Technically, she isn't amazing at singing or playing the piano. She's not bad, but nothing special. But she has soul and feeling in what she does, like she's actually saying this to someone. That's what modern music is missing and that's what makes Birdy so unique and amazing.

Even though you can't understand 90% of what she's saying you can still understand 10% and which is beautiful. the 90% is not clear i know but still sounds perfect, the words doesn't matter. it's music. and even if she's first year piano she's still better than most of us and she can play the piano, what more do you want? her playing the trumpet and sax? and even though it's still the same chord it's still a very beautiful piano piece that fits the song and i like it which makes it AMAZING

You can't understand 90% of what she's saying. Her voice is hardly flawless, and her singing, although in key, is actually quite poor. Her playing is pretty much "first year piano student".  Does that make this bad? No. To me it's just the same boring chord progression that's made 129817319283 "artists" famous. BUT...Good for her. Like it or don't(and I don't), she made it. If YOU like it then it's GOOD.
