Jumbo the circus elephant exhibits stereotypic behaviour (sign of stress in captive animals) while tethered illegally in her trailer during the day. Footage taken in Dunedin, NZ on 10th April 2009.
Nearly made me cry i took my son to see it and he was upset i'd rather take him to see one in the wild than one that is chained up and neglected the poor thing
This is shocking. These animals do not belong in circuses and zoos for that matter. They should be roaming the plains of Africa! Obviously it will not survive in the wild so it should put in a sanctuary as it has suffered more than enough from human torture. Humans- what a F%%%%$ up race we are!!!
this upsets me so much, she needs put out of her misery one way or another. And to find out from a friend who went to see the circus, Jumbo only comes out for about 30 seconds, bows, then leaves, what a waist!!
Jumbo has also significantly lost weight, his legs are very, very skinny for a elephant of his age!
