Ernie Kovacs - The Chess Masters

[From "Kovacs Corner" on YouTube.com] - A clip from Ernie's early days on NBC. He is setting up a gag whereby he explains to the audience how he and his production staff book acts for his show. The payoff shows that week's selection. Also appearing in this sketch is future David Letterman announcer, the late Bill Wendell, as "Armond Toulouse", and character actor Henry Lascoe. Henry can be seen in The Twilight Zone episode "The Bard", co-starring Jack Weston, John Williams (as William Shakespeare), and a very young Burt Reynolds (as a Brando-esqe "method" stage actor).
