Let's Play Metroid Prime 2 55 - Elevator Duel

It's time for our next face off with Dark Samus.

People keep reminding me that Dark Samus is a female, and even though the logbook scan itself refers to them as "She" I see DS as more of an it. First, Metroid Prime wasn't given a gender that I know of, and next, MP only absorbed Samus' Phazon Suit at the end of Prime 1, Maybe the suit held her DNA? But then why did she keep the Gravity Suit? It's confusing, I don't care too much about it, and I still think Dark Samus ought to be an It, not a She.

Well the only thing I can think of that would be more awesome than a fight in the elevator would be a fight in the sunset(although it's pretty clichéd) on a almost exploding planet. Although the first boss fight with Ridley in MP3 was actually pretty awesome too.

Like that one Magus fight in Chrono Trigger I s'pose. There's also rank 1 in No More Heroes, that beach stage on Bushido Blade... That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.

Is it me or does Dark Samus pretty much have the same move set as in Prime 3.

You have it backwards, but yes, they didn't really change too much from this one to the third... Though there is the clone ability they do. They added maybe one or two new attacks, but more or less MP3 Dark Samus is pretty similar to MP2 Dark Samus.

Its a her. Samus is female so the evl clone should be female to no?

Metroid Prime didn't have a gender that I know of, and it only absorbs your phazon suit, so I don't see why it would even have a gender... Though in the scans they refer to Dark Samus as a "She" So I guess that's what they had in mind. However, this is coming from the people who said they wanted a multiplayer experience that the old school Metroid fans would recognize... Do you see something wrong with this?

@JJAB91 actually i think hes refering to all the dark samus battles even tho hes only fighting 1 of the 3 he always says they cause there is only one but again i think hes refering to the 3 battles and the 3 different scans of dark samus

when the u read the scan it always says tht dark samus is actually a she

@Quadraxis14 The only reason dark Samus has a gender is because when absorbing her Phazon Suit she absorbed you're DNA, taking a shape similar your form, which is why it's named after you. So it's been told.
