The first half of this clip is all over YouTube, but I couldn't find the second song of Neil's two-song set anywhere. So here it is, from the Feb. 22, 1971 episode of "The Johnny Cash Show," the full Neil Young performance featuring "The Needle and the Damage Done" and the previously-missing number (and one of my personal favorite Neil tunes), "Journey Through The Past."

  • @wovokanarchy Hey, don't pick on Winnipeg—Neil Young's from there!

  • @abargle Actually, no. He was born in TGH and then his family moved to Omemee Ontario. All his changes were there. Some of you are just helpless.

  • Neil young supports Ron Paul in 2012

  • Very simple Very direct Wow! I think this guy is really good. OMG the distance from God to Good is sometimes nearer than you think, at least on a keyboard.

  • Neil is da goodest

  • It's sometimes confusing where artists are 'born' and where they lived while deveolping their talent.Neil Young spent his formative singing years in Winnipeg MB; like many artists of that era Winnipeg was very accepting of such young talent as The Guess Who, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Neil Young, and a whole lot more over the years. Calling the city 'shitty' doesn't make the artists over several decades less talented.

  • @ Everyone Neil Young Is From Heaven

  • @abargle and again, so are the jets!

  • @Cammackaveli I didn't know that. In Rolling Stone mag on a story on Bob Dylan playing in Winnipeg he went to Young's home in the Peg. I read he was also awarded the Order of Manitoba in 96. I, also , have a CD of Young's titled "Prairie Wind'' about his time growing up in southern Manitoba. So I guess they are all wrong. Sorry. Your right about Young being born in Toronto but he grew up in the shitty Peg. I guess it's no different from the Peg claiming Terry Fox even though he grew up in B.C.

  • @wovokanarchy He's not from Winnipeg.. He's from Omemee Ontario!!
