  • Today's so-called "Journalism" would have true journalists like Edward R. Murrow rolling in their graves! Nuff said!

  • Good riddance to that monster we call Senator McCarthy.

  • @thelupoistheman1 That's why I pretty much ignore what film gets best picture, the choice is usually fucking stupid. Why, just look at how that POS Hurt Locker won best picture.

  • @Airbender222 so was communism good?????

  • The Red Scare was a modern day version of the Salam Witch Trials.

  • @scottishchap2008 That's not the point. People were being ufairly convicted of being a communist purely based off rhetoric rather than fact, and their lives would be destroyed. Back in the '60's, reputation is what gave you a job. If people thought you were a communist, you would NEVER get a job again in your life. It doesn't matter what the communists did, or what the Nazi's did. This is about unfair conviction based on fear.

  • Reminds me the propaganda and the fear in Greece the last two years

  • 40 million + slaughtered in soviet russia, 65 + million slaughtered in communist china (they claim 80 million +), if somebody was a nazi who supported hitlers regime they should have been exposed just like the communists who had the same types of slave labor camps and slaughtered everybody and there familys who dared to speak out against the marxist "utopia"

  • My favorite movie of 2005. This should have won Best Picture, not that bullshit racial shit Crash.

  • @thelupoistheman1 sucks that u live

  • @vindinArges,

Tommy Lee Jones sucked in The Fugitive.

  • @chand145 the red scare is when the US, enveloped by a total fear of communism, went on a sort-of "witch hunt" if you will, and started rounding up "suspected" communists. The "champion" of this movement was a Senator Joseph McCarthy, and this film is about how celebrated news journalist Edward Murrow got tired of this debacle, and fought back.
