That's not the point. People were being ufairly convicted of being a communist purely based off rhetoric rather than fact, and their lives would be destroyed. Back in the '60's, reputation is what gave you a job. If people thought you were a communist, you would NEVER get a job again in your life. It doesn't matter what the communists did, or what the Nazi's did. This is about unfair conviction based on fear.

That doesn't quite make sense. What I'm saying is it doesn't matter what these people did - it was the perception of what they did and what they represented, and the fear that that brought upon the American people. While they may be completely different when it comes to political message, when it comes down to the effect of fear they had on the populous, then it is appropriate to put them together.
