In Beijing, authorities are holding a celebration of what they call Chinas National Day, but not everyone feels like celebrating.

[Protester, Outside Chinese embassy, London]:
I asked them what is there to celebrate; they are celebrating 60 years of oppression, they are celebrating 60 years of dictatorship, they are celebrating 60 years of propaganda.

The so-called National Day really represents the day the communist regime used military force to seize power in China 60 years ago.

[Dr. Yi Xu, University College London]:
They used military force to impose the communist system on the Chinese people. If you look at the Communist Party's history you will see that they have never represented China.

While the communist regime holds a military parade in Beijing, people gather outside the Chinese embassy in London, with opinions quite different from the Party Line.

[Dr. Yi Xu, University College London]:
The slogan the communist party uses now to trick the Chinese people is Love the country, but in reality the communist party has been ruining the country and selling out the country.

Member of the European Parliament, Gerard Batten, came to show his support.

[Gerard Batten, MEP UK Independence Party]:
I think its very important to come down and participate to mark 60 years of oppression of China by the Chinese Communist Party, and to draw attention to the fact that it is one of the longest surviving communist regimes in the world. It took power illegally, its oppressed the Chinese people for 60 years and perpetrated crimes of murder, oppression, torture against 10s of millions of people over that period. And I think the world has to be reminded, the Chinese Communist Party has to go.

At this demonstration, Chinese people as well as people of the Uighur and Tibetan ethnicities stand together against the tyranny of the Communist Party.

[Enver Tohti, UK Uighur association]:
There are not conflicts between different ethnic groups, so how do these conflicts come about? It is because the communist regime wants to maintain its political authority. It purposefully stirs up things between ethnic groups, which leads to ethnic incidents, so it can strengthern its grip on power.

They beat a gong sixty times to represent sixty years of oppression, remembering past atrocities And some that are still going on.

Attendees write on a scroll, in multiple languages, their wishes for Chinas future.

This scroll is taken across the road to be presented to the Chinese Embassy. Yet as they ring the bell, it appears no one is around to accept the gift.

Forced to settle for photographs in the Embassy entrance, calls from those who support human rights and freedom, are, for yet another year, left unanswered by the communist regime.

  • Mao pulls through with the help of his loyal "friends" in the party apparatus a wave of revolution in China that seeks its equal. For 10 years he holds with his Hetzaktionen and "re-education" in China commands breath, thereby abusing the feelings of the entire population, especially the masses of youth and student, and old traditions can be destroyed.
