Hi everyone! this is a video of my cystic acne on the left side of my face. I know its quite ugly but I am in desperate need of advise!! If anyone has had my problem or knows of a solution please let me know! I have suffered from cystic acne for 10 years and I have not found a cure yet! It is very frustrating but I have hope.

  • it is 2012 and that cyst from 0:20-0:33 I have it again!!!! its annoying and frustrating!!

  • I have had severe cystic acne and can tell you what worked best for me. First, have the cysts drained, then injected with a cortical steroid. This will have dramatic effects within a day. I tried every antibiotic, with little change. The miracle for me was Accutane. Extremely strong. It dries your skin, causes your pores to shrink. Also drink lots of water.

hi I did try accutane for 2 years and i still have it unfortunatelly for me accutane didnt work. that cortical injection I also had it done on one cheek but since i am soooo sensitive it hurt so much that i didnt let the dr do my other cheek. :0/ and besides it came back so i dont think its worth the pain. but thanks for your comment :0)

  • I dry brush, use glycerine soap, aloe vera, African black soap, lemon juice and coconut oil. Using what's listed, my skin is 1000x better. If I knew how great these worked when I was in high school, my skin would probably be flawless. Highly recommend as they work and are vegan/natural.

P.S. I didn't notice your acne at first because you're cute. Don't let acne get you down. It's much easier to get clear skin than beauty, so you're already ahead.

hi thanks for your comment! I am curious to know, how do I use all of these products? if you can please let me know as I am eager to know and anxious to try it out! thanks *Yazmin*

  • Cystic acne has made my life miserable for the last 10 years. NO ONE should go through that in their teens or twenties, we should be having fun! Well I've had periods where my skin gets clear and I feel wonderful, I took ACCUTANE once, without great effects. My skin is super oily, I'm currently using LEROSETT regimen. How's your acne doing??

  • @TheMArTy1979

I totally agree with you!! but unfortunatelly I still have cysts here and there they come and go as the please :( my face has so many marks and scars theres no smoothness anymore! It has gotten worse as the years pass by. I guess Im one of those who has to live with it until I die! what you see in this video is nothing compared to how my skin looks now. I hope you finaly find the cure for your acne. thanks for your comment, have a wonderful day! Yazmin

  • Nothing you apply to the skin will help. Please find a dermatologist who will drain out that painful infection and start you on antibiotics. You are lovely and help is there!

  • Do you find that you only get the cysts when you ovulate/have a period. This is certainly the case with me. I have a 5 week cycle but my skin is never clear. I get usually 1 cyst on my face every time I ovulate or have a period. These cysts can take weeks to heal and by the time it has gone down I ovulate/have a period again and another cyst appears. Going on the pill made me get them all the time so they must be estrogen related. The redness from one cyst can last for months.

  • Clenziderm by obagi read all review online and maybe get samples before you purchase but it's 5 star ratings

  • I had to deal with cystic acne the first 4 months of my senior year of high school, then i started taking accutane. it helped me so much. i hope everything clears up for you...i know how tough, painful, and embarassing it is to live with cystic acne. but like i said, accutane cleared it up for me!

  • i had this literally ALL over my cheeks and chin for about a year,, shit sucked so badly lol. black and red, and sometimes would bleed randomly -__- but yours isnt too bad, and like someone else stated, your beautiful :) good luck with your skin, dont let it get you down cuz it doesnt matter at the end of the day

I wash my skin with aloe vera infused glycerin soap and African black soap. I apply lemon juice at night and use coconut oil to condition my skin (and hair). The ingredients are pure and natural so it's unlikely that these will agitate the acne.
