Two totally different Citroen CX's in this clip. The first, a 1975 still completely original, (even the tires). The second, a modified gti. Turn your volume up for that!!

  • Not sure.

I went on imesh and just did a search for driving songs. Then i picked one that i thought would work with the footage.

    Sorry

  • hi eagleman15418

Its not my car and to be honest i dont know to what extent the owner has modified it. I do know it is heavily modified and is very, very quick (on private land of course). The owner has had the car for some years and everytime i see him, he has added more stuff or changed parts, always for the better too.

  • The music wasnt from his stereo either mate. The bottom line is that it was staged. It took hours to film it and we went through 2 90min tapes to find the bits we could use. The music was added on afterwords. The editing program i use is ulead video studio 11. Check out the program. u can add and cut bits out and speed footage up.

  • Brilliant Video! Both CX's are lovely in there own ways!

  • Thank you.

  • With all due respect, we didn't set out to provoke a debate. Yes the car is modified. But the bottom line is that it's a car of over 20 years and is still on the road. I'm sure it's not to everybodys taste but ive seen some cars at 20yo that are falling to bits and the kind of reaction they get is........... "oh its all original".

  • I've seen pictures of the second, but this is the first time I've seen it moving. I think they're both brilliant!

  • tyres are original?:S that sounds very dangerous

  • Lovely original CX in a lovely colour driving through a lovely landsape. The modified CX isn't my taste at all. But who cares?

  • The first is a museum piece and the second is obviously loved too, but for the purists out there...ouch and OMG.

CX is brilliant - everyone knows. Everyone who claims to hate it, loves it really. They just wish they had one...I had three: one series one and two series two.

I passed each one on in a better condition than I bought them.

The only problem I had was that one of them had a central locking system that used to unlock itself - park the car and lock it - come back and it was unlocked. Fab

  • @z00h :) thanks

  • @DAVIDJMG thanks :) to be honest I stayed away from modifying the body, it's only the paint and the de texturing of the bumpers that are different, I have owned this it was a little over 2 years old and just needed a change without changing the car

  • first part of the video is very sweet...The second just breaks your heart.

  • absolutely brilliant car on bumpy uk roads, no DIRAVI power steering on this -75 model, it was introduced 1983 on all CX models regardless of engine size

  • I'm not a fan of modified cars but I like your CX and the flip paint must work brilliantly on all the curves of its body. Futuristic paint for a futuristic car, Nice One!

  • dont like the modifications to gti at all. its great to see that its still on the road tho
