Normal consumption does cause some waste. To say we can be pollution (waste) free is to not understand what is necessary for life itself to function, or live in a dream where life can exist with NO creation of ANY waste.

A right is something no law can take away, whereas a privilege is created and dismissed as a court or municipality sees fit. The US has God-given RIGHTS, not government-begrudged PRIVILEGES. Guns and property are part of the former.

I'm really only referring to reducing carbon emissions and dependency on fossil fuels. I don't think rights and privileges have anything to do with what I'm talking about.

They do when one talks about government mandates, or someone brings up guns and capitalism like they're BAD things.

As to reducing carbon emissions, there is no real reason to worry about that as much as reducing particulate/soot emission. Without CO2, plants don't do so well, and we have less O2. But even if every person on the planet used no coal or oil, global warming scientists have admitted it wouldn't do a darn thing as far as how much CO2 was produced annually.

I'm not talking about guns or capitalism. I'm just pointing out that Hydrogen Fuel Cell cars are much better than battery electric cars and fossil fuel powered internal combustion cars.
 I think capitalism rocks.

The 'guns and capitalism' was in regards to vt2k's comment about sacred cows.

I believe we have the small problem of agreeing on the point of fuel cell vs. battery power. I guess we'll just have to agree to agree.

Yikes...is that where you were educated on the concept?

'God-given' (once again) refers to rights that we possess as part of our creation, that NO MAN has a right to take from us. That means, whoever is in the government, they have no authority to take those rights from us, because they didn't come from government.

Still a little confused? I'm afraid I can't help manically anti-Christian.

It's not anti-christian it's more like it anti fanaticisms(of any kind).I don't see what's got to do religious ethics with economy or politics.Or do you realy think freedom of speech,of thinking,of acting is an heritage of christianity?I'd say the oposite and all those rights to women, black people, jews(just to make the obvious eg.)came so late because of the fanaticism that goverments had from religions.

Um, no...those folks were treated even worse in other NON-Christian cultures, so sorry, but you are simply a guilty little child who doesn't want to get spanked.
