This year marked the 20th Anniversary of the NKF U.S. Transplant Games. The Olympic-style event, held July 30th-August 4, 2010 in Madison, WI, is for athletes who have received life-saving organ transplants of every type—kidney, liver, heart, lung, pancreas and bone marrow. Transplant and donor athletes from all over the country competed for gold, silver and bronze medals in 12 different sports, including track and field, swimming, tennis, basketball, cycling and golf.
Wow, watching this video bring tears to my eyes I was there and I received a kidney transplant. I competed in a couple of those games and I owe it all to my organ donor.the games gave me courage.
