Cassies POV
Spending the day at Caras will take my mind off things, I think as I head to her house. She lives a block away from me in the opposite direction of nick. Talk about being in the middle. I moved here when I was 6 and she had been walking her dog with Nick. I knew when I saw them that they would be my best friends someday.

~Flashback~
Cassies mom let her go outside so she could finish unpacking. She saw the park half a block away and started walking. As she rounded the corner to the park, she saw a little girl and boy about her age walking towards her.
CARA: Hi! Ive never seen you before!
NICK: *laughs* HI! Im Nicholas Jerry Jonas. You can call me Nick. This is Cara Anne Samson. I call her just Cara. So can you!
CASSIE: Im Cassie Lynn Madison. You can call me Cassie, or Cass. Some people do that. I just moved here. I live right there*points to her house*
CARA: Cool! I live farther back than you and we just came from Nicks house. We are going to the park cuz his mom said we were being nuisance. And we had to take Petals, my dog. His mom didnt want her at their house.
CASSIE: Cool! Thats where Im going! And I like your doggy, shes cute.
CARA: thanks! Shes gonna be as big as me when shes all grown up!
NICK: No shes not! She already is done growing!
CARA: nuh uh! She has to be big so I can give her big hugs!
NICK: yea whatever!
CARA: Im serious Nicky!
CASSIE: Can you please stop fighting so we can go to the park and be best friends?
CARA: sounds good too me! I gotta go bring Petals back and Ill come back okay?
CASSIE: sure!
NICK: Hey Cassie! Lets go on the swings!
~End of Flashback~

It would be so much easier if we were still 6. But we are always there for each other. As I walk up Caras steps, the door opens for me to find a VERY happy Cara standing in the doorway.

Nicks POV
As I head out the door to the car, I yell at Joe to hurry up. I cant wait till I get my license. Then Joe wouldnt have to drive me everywhere. Im sure he would like it more too. For now I just have to put up with it. I get in the passenger side and watch as Joe hops down the steps trying to put on his shoes. He gets in and turns on the engine.
J: Why are you in such a hurry today? Usually you dont care how late you are! Ohhhh! Trying to impress Miley?
Sometimes, I regret telling him things. This would be one of those times.
N: Shut up! I just wanna get to the beach okay?!
J: Jeez, I was just kidding around!
N: mhm
I stop listening to start planning what Im gonna do. Ive decided that going out with Selena would hurt her in the end. Whether or not I get Miley I would feel horrible for using Sel like that. So at the beach today, Im just gonna talk to her as much as possible and ignore Miley. If I can I turn on the radio and sit back for the next 20 minutes it takes to get to the beach.
