I found this video in my archives!
It is 1984! Take a ride down Memory Lane! Climb on board the classic, wooden "Giant Coaster" at Paragon Park at Nantasket Beach on Boston's South Shore. In this video you will ride the coaster THREE times! It is a warm summer day and Paragon Park is busy with visitors.
Do you remember hearing the clicking of the cars as they climb to the top? How about the screech of the wheels or the screams of the riders? Did you hold on tight or tempt fate and ride with your hands stretched toward the sky?
The coaster was built in 1917 and operated till the amusement park closed for good at the end of 1984. Six Flags America in Maryland purchased the coaster and relocated it in 1985. The coaster is now called "The Wild One".
Enjoy!
The quality is so great! I am actually co-writing a musical about Paragon Park! I hope you can make it. July at the Company Theatre in Norwell.

Loved it. Felt like I was there again. Spent many summers riding the coaster w NO hands. Remember every squeal at the turns, when it slowed then dropped and sped up again! Most fond memories from years ago . Tx

I loved the ride I was an employee of Paragon and all the ride operators tested the roller coasters first ride of the day and the person didn't put the bars down and we were hanging on for dear life hoping we would live through the nightmare
