Let me ask you this. Someone rides a horse into your town. The CITY MANAGER's BROTHER-IN-LAW invites them to put their horse in the park. When the man arrives back to his horse with his bus and FAMILY the city manager not only tells them that they can't have their horse in the park (no big deal) but basically they are unwelcome in the town. He has no idea his brother in law just invited them as guests. Oops.

Well, actually I visited your town. I asked where I could lodge a horse, I was told I "couldn't". Your town's problem, not mine. I moved on. I see very little of value in Chilhowie. Sure not the people and who they are willing to vote for over and over. Its a corrupt mean little town, going no where, a death trap for anyone's future. Lots of people ride horses. And out of 382 days of travel to New York CHILHOWIE was the only rude town I encountered. Do the math.

Nothing has changed though in the town has it? So the comments of all the people in the town still stand, most of which are not complimentary as do mine. Gary will always be who he is as will Bill and Rick. Many people don't spend time trying to change chilhowie, they just move.

Well Gary won, Clear was close but looks like there is more work to do if you want change.

i am from chilhowie high school and i feel hurt by some .. well most of what u sed. not all of the people here are like that... in face hardly any of the people here are like that. so dont judge a town just becouse of one person. p.s. the reason u cant stay in the park is for safty reasons.

I think that you need to read the discussion here further. I feel like I am a first grade teacher. The discussion was never about staying in the park, there was no grass there, the discussion was that there wasn't any place in town that could put up a horse when in fact there were many people who had horses. Its just about these rude people, and its more than one person, you need to read the news about your town.

hey im from chilhowie and i think that he had the right to ride his horse cause basically theres nothing here and it wasnt hurting nothing.....this town is so small there's nothing here to do, aleast they shoulda have helped him out

i live in chilhowie and have all my life i think it is great for what you are doing but my deal is why do you have to diss us so much? ive got a wake up call for you akhazauh this is the 21st century and not the 1870's people dont ride horses everywhere huh imagine that? i would imagine that you probably clean your horses manure up but idk, it surprises me that you think that you can barge into a town and think you can plop your ass down anywhere you please it doesnt work like that.

i have to say a few thing about the town of chilhowie and the citizens of it ..i have live in Chilhowie and the People have mistreated me an disrespect me ..i live 7 miles outside the town of Chilhowie ..But Chilhowie will never been my home town ..my hometown is across the mountain from Chilhowie and That is Community of Konnarock,Virginia! The Citizens Of Konnarock have more Respect and Treat People Right more then what i can say for Chilhowie!!

I'm from Chilhowie and I don't appriciate the coments either as said previously but I do understand you were upset. But not everyone in Chilhowie is that bad; if I had known you were in town at the time you could've came to my house and camped and there would be plenty of room safe for your horse. :) I was 10 minutes out of town. If the people who govern our town suck then come to the people...we're nice. :)

It is a shame that you had to endure such mistreatment so close to my home, at the start of the video (the silo) scene you are passing through Glade Spring, not much there either, however I'm sure your experience would have been better. Chilhowie has not got any better since this mishap, and I'm sure it never will. The only good thing about the town is an interstate ramp to get in and out of the place.

Hello, I hate to hear what happen to you in my home town. It is now as you said "a shit hole." The cops are child molestation asses, the D.A.R.E instructor, when I was going to school, later was busted for dealing drugs. As for that shit hole of a park you were in, if there is any rain it floods. That river beside the McD's/scrap yard your bus was at, floods up to the railroad tracks.
