@Dash4rd In the civil war, rifled muskets were used, which are about as accurate as shooting a rifle. Aside from that, Muskets aren't THAT inaccurate. It's just that most soldiers never aimed. Skirmishers, on the other hand, did, and they certainly achieved results.
