  • Perfect professional role model for me. Any suggestions on how I can eliminate the variation on the career path please ? Suggested reading perhaps...

    PS I'm serious

  • 6 sigma companies are companies that have realised they have hired morons.

Now they have to use 6-sigma to tie the morons into endless meetings that so that they can do no more harm

  • Does anybody have any "human factor" tip for getting the operators in the right mental level so they understand the importance of variation and attend everything they do with the purpose of achieving a six sigma level for the company? I wish I could do that with the people I work with but I don't have any certainty about where to begin. "Excessive Variation & unstable processes" is the best way to describe the place where I work, and I want to do something to improve there. Books? Anything?

  • Awesome Video, Thanks for sharing Steve

  • SIX SIGMA IS DIEING!!!

  • @gregpm100 Almost, now that you read the TOC, you just have to read, understand and chew eaxh topic, and then digest through practice and participation in order to get SSBB - so, you are just few more steps away - continue your journey from the godo start you already made.

  • Sooooo... a company should be consistent, minimize error and take their customers needs into consideration. Am I a black belt now lol ?

  • “Focus on the customer” now where did Mikel Harry say that ? Sounds more like good old TQM to me.

Six Sigma's foundations are absolute rubbish, such as the "unavoidable long term drift" of 3 sigma.

TQM/ Continuous Improvement is now being used to try to fill in the gaps.

  • @bullybasher2000

They may have hired morons but they probably don't know it. Anyone who falls for all those web sites showing normal distributions drifting by 3 sigma, isn't real bright.

  • @CCsigma

If you're serious, forget about six sigma. It's very notion is based on nonsense.

Google "six sigma lessons from deming"

    Read Dr Don Wheeler's books.

  • Would be great to speak to a paid consultant via Askvisory
