I think that General Petraeus has done a great job in dealing with the War in Iraq as the Commander of U.S. and Allied Forces in Iraq. Petraeus is also doing a great job as the Director of U.S. Central Command. I thank General Petraeus for his service in the protection and defense of this country.

KNIGHT IN SHINING KHAKIS

Our knight in shining armor -- khakis, boots, and cap,

in one hand is his phone, in the other hand a map,

David talks to his soldiers with his respectful, strong command,

as they work to save our nation with their brave and noble stand.

General David trains them well and will not let them fight

until they're pros in safety skills and military might,

so they'll return from the battle front as safely as they can,

for his soldiers are each precious to this military man.

Wars rage on and have a way of making soldiers die.

General David hides his pain, and noone sees him cry.

But when he pins purple hearts on those who've survived a man's worst fears,

in David's eyes his soldiers see the sparkling of his tears.

He's proud of all his soldiers, and he gives them all the best

of the praise that often falls on him for his mountainous success.

If General David wished one thing for America to give:

He'd say, "Love our soldiers, one and all, for helping you to live."

General Petraeus is a great commander and well known for his service. He should be either President, Sec of Defense or Chair man of the Joint Chief of staff.
