If i were you i add dirt somehow and a hide abd some branches acros the tank

that set up is far too small, they grow very quick. i have a nile myself and she is in a much larger viv with a larger pool. also agree they need dirt to dig in and hidey holes. i've been keeping monitors for 10 years now and would'nt put them in something that small. i'm not having a go just trying to help

@TheKboy123 i think they are cause i live in Oregon and they sell Nile Monitors at the pet shop near my house
-
@RepNileMonitor I like that statement it makes me feel better about myself lol because no one can raise my reptiles better than I can
-
awful setup, monitors need dirt to dig in. and also places to hide.

i've been searching the internet on the debate on on nile monitors starting to be illegal in some states......do you happen to know what states dont let you keep a nile monitor..... i live in california and i really want a nile monitor.....
is this okay for a baby water monitor???

@TheKboy123 very ok.. but i would suggest at least a 100gallon, it should last you at least a year
i bought a 120 gallon for 100 bucks in Vegas

@RepNileMonitor thanks for the tip....i have one more question how do keep the water warm???
TheKboy123 1 year ago
@TheKboy123 i dont, you dont need to, but those 150 watt lamps keep it at a room temperature

the setup is sick but it's your monitor you do what you want with it. As long as he/she is getting big, shedding regularly, pooping, and eating keep doing your thing man. If you kno you doing right by your nile brush shoulders off.
