@MrDunkol Its good to see people who love what they do and you obviously do. Just keep in mind that the show is just about 8% of what she does on those roads and she has no control over what is shown. I think you would agree that she can handle a gearbox well and is an asset to trucking. If in all your years of trucking you haven't had ONE SINGLE ISSUE with a transmission in a truck you were told to drive THEN you could talk like that...but even then it wouldn't be right....and you know that.

@MrDunkol Not an insult fella, just an observation based on 47 years of experience of seeing people like you slamming other people (in your original post) whom they do not know and who did nothing to you. I have no idea what you've done in a truck, but the same applies to your observations on this girl who is doing a nice job and loves it. From what I've seen from her, she has more guts than most male truckers. Your original post knocked her based on gender and looks.

@snarlingrabiddog5150 Don't remember saying anything about turning my nose up at an auto. Like all truckers - if it starts I'll drive it. Collected an antique truck once with a reverse patern box, no battery, keys, or diesel at 3am after a 4 hour drive in a dying truck with no alternator, power steering or headlights. The antique's brakes were siezed which didn't help. But I got it on the trailer regardless. I love what Lisa brings to trucking, but the show should tell what it's REALLY like.

@MrDunkol Then you, of ALL people should respect her for what she's done. REAL truckers drive whatever is in front of them. I've yet to see a successful trucker who turns his nose up at a haul on the basis of a gearbox. Keep in mind that shes also DRIVING that "van" in INDIA. Its what was THERE for her to drive. If you were in HALF the conditions she's been in, you'd be sobbing and walking home. Give her credit and don't be such a dick, it gets you nowhere.
