Video shot from the Indiana shoreline of the flood from March 1997. I'm standing at the foot of the Madison/Milton bridge while shooting this, and you can clearly see the flood waters at the Key West Shrimp House.

  • @MsNika008 I know the video was from 1997 (I've got some of my own) I was referring to the comment 'amishcomputergeek' made about the "1939" flood. I think he/she meant 1937. Cheers!

  • @PierceT520 i dont think so.idk we dont get the newspaper :P

  • Did they close the bridge?

  • thats wild seeing no one on the birdge i was 8 when that happened i remeber me and my dad walkin on the side walk of brown gym by the baseball dimond and seeing some one coenewing

  • I've lived here my whole life, i remember that i was only 10 when that happened but thats spooky not seeing anything on the bridge and the crows cawing...haha..its like everyone dissapeared...

  • Actually the year was 1937...worst flooding ever recorded on the Ohio river. 70% of Louisville, KY under water. The river crested at about 80ft in Cincinnati, OH.

    Cheers!

  • i live in madison but i was only 2 but i still kindda remeber it lol!

  • Wow, they closed the bridge down. That would have been awesome to walk across.

  • That was a pretty bad flood but not as bad as 1939 I believe

  • Thanks Chris!!!
