    I actually read somewhere a while ago, it was either applefritter or 68kmla, that the "tripod mount" is actually for some sort of security system, and the threads are fragile and easy to damage. But I guess if you are careful, it does work for tripods too.

    The actual manual says it is for use with a tripod while using the eMate "in the field".

    Matthew: I'm pretty new to YouTube so wasn't sure how to submit a video request other than leaving a comment.

    I'm also new to iMovie and have really been enjoying your videos on movie editing using iMovie. Thanks for all the great info and functionality. It is a neat and inexpensive tool that offers a lot more than I bargained for.

    My video request: would you consider doing a video on how to upload movies from iMovie to YouTube so that they can be viewed in HD?

    Any HD video created in iMovie will automatically be HD on YouTube as well. If it's not, it means the original project wasn't in HD to begin with.
