  • That's a shoal of Paraneetroplus (Vieja) synspila. I've never owned schooling fish but a few of mine do shoal.

  • He was big. He just died two weeks ago and measured 24 1/2" total length. Wallago attacked him but did not eat him. Got him at 3 1/2" in 1998. Grew him up in the 15,000 and moved him Feb 7 2010 to the big tank. He measured 23" plus a bit on that day in 2010.

  • Very good eye. Not one in a hundred can identify the fish with it's correct scientific name even.

There are 2 in the tank but one is in it's last weeks. The one dying is 23" (Injured by a catfish trying to eat it) and the bigger one you are referring to was 26" when measured in 2009.

Best of luck with your guy.

  • Fronts are great. We counted more than 50 adults in the tank that day and probably another 50 babies 1" to 4"

  • i can almost identify all the big fish in ur awesome tank but i cant seem to put my finger on those colorful schooling cichlids...what are they? do they really school?

  • Man you have my dream tank you are so lucky you must be a millionaire or something? Is it you that's disabled? Sorry to hear that but I admire you for following your dream. I think I spotted at least one Frontosa in your tank, that's something least , I'd like some close ups of a whole shoal of them?

  • You should get some MBU's

  • I can make out about 5 large Frontosa in there are they Zaire? This video is great but it's a shame we can't hear anything you are saying

  • Respect man! How large is Tilapia at 0:13?

    It looks really huge...

  • that is such a beautiful setup

  • You should put bass and catfish in your 15k tank, and try to grow a world record smallmouth bass in it! the world record is 11lbs
