Scary Florida Lightning Storm

Lightning was striking all around our condo in St. Petersburg, Florida. We had to try and capture some of the severe storm on video. But then it got too scary and we went inside!

In Tampa/St. Petersburg, you can set you clock by the 3:30pm summer storms. Even the word Tampa is an old Calusa indian word for lightning that directly translates as "sticks of fire"

Does that happen every week? In New Jersey a storm like that happens maybe once or twice in July and August.

Those kinds of storms happen almost daily from late May through late August. We had one this evevning (I posted a video of it as a reply to this video) which was quite strong over St. Pete.

I can't wait for the regular routine of storms to start, I plan on getting a lot of great video.
