Australians angrier because well-off - Teo

Prominent brain surgeon Charlie Teo says Australians frequently turn on each other because they are so well-off.

Dr Teo, who delivered an Australia Day address in Sydney on Monday night, said he was always surprised at the lack of rage he saw when visiting developing countries.

@errortable She was a woman that dared to air her concerns in a country where freedom of speech is prized above all else. She had every right to say the things she said and certainly from her experience and those around her... what she was experiencing certainly is real. There is no urban myth. I remember the same negative reactions to Stephen Hagan's heroic battle to get the Ni*ger Brown Stand taken down at the Toowoomba sports oval. Shame and ignorance caused Australia's politicians to go into damage control mode and try to fob this off and cover up a major embarrassment. They did it by trying to laugh at Hagan and ignorant uneducated people were posting negative comments not unlike what I have seen here in reaction to Charlie Teo. Hagan finally won but not after many threats & hate!
