Whatever dude. Just because DLR wrote a line about something in a song doesn't mean he knows crap about it. An if you think Love is all Sammy writes about, then you never really paid any attention to him to begin with.

Social matters? Don't make me laugh. You mean parties, girls, parties and girls? And weird songs like Big Bad Bill. People think Finish What Ya Started was lame, but what the hell is up with BBB? Right Now is about social matters, DLR is about booze and chicks. I'm okay for that but 6 albums gets a bit stale.

I also read that Eddie wanted Michael out of the band for a while. On Michael's wikipedia page (not sure how true it is), it even states that Eddie did not want Michael on the reunion tour in 2004. But, Sammy refused to join the reunion unless Michael was there. At least Sammy is loyal.

That said, this performance was not his best at all.

last grab? dude, they weren't even in Van Halen when this was performed. Anthony was a "hired gun" on the 2004 tour, and i read somewhere that Eddie wanted him out after a couple of albums.

its not his "last grab" at playing big, him and sammy hagar are kickin' it, and they're doing a pretty fine job of it. Eddie's back in rehab, so we're basically back to square one!

I Love how this can be called Van Halen then another band going on tour this fall with none of the people shown in this video are Van Halen lol. kinda fucked when you think about it. Everyone knows the one going on tour this fall is the REAL Van Halen minus MA of course but I can do without :)
