I find the link scanner worthless because it does scan that link and it's safe but when you download a file from that "safe" site and use it, it turns out to be a virus and completely slows down the net and disables the AVG from working because of it not to mention when browsers have latest versions AVG won't work on them, but that's for the free version but either way almost any anti-virus program are not 100% sure to get rid of virus's

Linkscanner is a piece of Rubbish!! Every website has a green tick next to it and even if you know its a bad website its still got a green tick... Does this happen to anyone else?

Yes, sadly. I've tried it, and I didn't a single warning whatsoever.
I recommend WOT (plugin for IE and firefox) instead. Works much better.
