Ric Williams decided to do a 4WD Trek in the vicinity of 10,000 kms and test the metal of Land Cruiser through a gruelling journey from east to west, crossing no less then 7 deserts in Australia. The first leg took the 7 Land Cruisers into semi arid country with good gravel roads, gradually changing into the arid landscape of the Simpson Desert on the way to Uluru.
From there they headed to the Gunbarrel Highway via Docker River and on to Carnegy Station, before hitting the Canning Stock Route. At Well 33 they traveled north-west along the Kidson Track to Broome for some well deserved R&R. The last leg was to be interesting as they explored the wild Kimberley for the final leg to Walcott Inlet on the north coast of Australia.
