agreed 9th gen is faster in acceleration but 8th gen is better for top speed. that tq must be nice! but race my 8th lol i/rh/e/flashpro/RRC intake manifold/j35 throttle body/p2r spacer and gaskets :-)

@maximolerma Faster as in faster acceleration...then yes...marginally. Faster as in top speed...then no.

Besides which, why are you telling people to get a car that even the car maker is going opps, our bad, we will fix it next year?!? At the very least, you should wait for honda to redo ANY of the civic before you buy them...or at least wait for this mistake of a generation to go on massive sale when honda release the REAL 9th gen civic.

You are talking about a WRX that's supposed to go fast so don't expect it to be very economic, i'm talking about cars in general being fuel efficient when they have a turbo.

Chevy is doing it with their 1.4L, BMW ditching the V8's and using turbo Inline 6 that's just to name a few.

@maximolerma The 8th gen is atleast 20 MPH faster at top speed. They run the same quarter mile times really. Also, about after 100 or so, the 8th should pull ahead. The gearing is kind of close the 8th's, but the 9th only revs to 7K, which makes more shifting time, and you run out of RPM's. Even if you're ahead of the 8th, it will eventually get ahead. But ive done races with my k20 swapped 00 coupe vs k24 swapped 00 coupe, and i'd always pull ahead after 100 or so. ...just saying
