Color Sorting Machine in Action!

During recent audits of our vendors we focused on examining and improving processes used to clean tea of debris (dirt, glass, metal etc).

The color sorting machine in the video is one of the tools that can help in this regard. It is currently most commonly used to identify and remove stalk from dry tea leaves.

Interesting we did visit many factories that employ teams of ladies to do the same thing by hand -- understandably the speed and efficiency differences are profound.
