Mattel Tommy Burst TV commercial 1960s!

Rare early 60s tv commercial for Mattel's Tommy Burst submachine gun detective set. This was my favorite toy of all time. Load in some fresh caps, pull the bolt back, and it made a God-awful noise and it produced a small cloud of smoke around the barrel tip. It was fantastic!! Guaranteed to take your friends & relatives down, one at a time. ^_^

I had one of these as a kid, we were driving one night I was sitting in the back seat, and I put it up on the back windshield, by dad got pulled over by a cop who thought it was real. True story.

And as for the topic of "VG violence", I think - (I admit I have to thank the hate-bit podcast for informing me on this (SHAMELESS PLUG)) that the 24 hour news cycle is also to blame, since there always needs to be news for some reason, news that isn't relevant and/or news that is fundamentally wrong, stupid, or even immoral slips through holes more frequent than moles on Morgan Freeman's face.
