This is a tutorial for anti-CLL, an advanced speedsolving tecnique that allows you to more easily solve the cube from a diagonal layer without learning more algorithms. You should already know CLL before watching this. As well as explaining how the method works, I show which cases are 'opposites' of each other. Although I show the cases, I have put diagrams of them in the video to make it easier to see. I made the diagrams with Visual Cube: http://cube.crider.co.uk/visualcube.php. You will probably need to pause the video.

  • Does it help a lot to learn EG-1?

  • @swedishcuber Yes, but I'd recommend averaging sub-5 (preferably sub-4) with CLL and being able to 1-look all 3-move layers (or event 4-move layers) first.

  • thanks a lot cameron!!! wish I know this video earlier, because I go to competition 3 days from now -,-

  • you can also work in the side 1 side 2 side 1 into your algorithm

  • @RCTACameron nah nevermind bout that now i was mistaken. i thought anti-CLL was the same as EG 2. lol fail

  • @huntforfood99 Does 'op layer' mean the opposite layer, or did you mean top? EG-2 solves the top layer and switches diagonal corners on the bottom layer.

  • @RCTACameron hmmm....just wondering if EG 1 solves the top layer while swapping to adjacent corners on the bottom layer, why can't EG 2 solve the op layer + bottom face diagonally swapped corners?

  • @huntforfood99 Yeah, it's so easy to learn, so it's worthwhile learning it now, so you will already know it if your lookahead improves.

  • @RCTACameron anyhow, i hear many people learn anti CLL because its easier to lookahead when solving the 1st layer. my lookahead isn't that good, in fact its really really bad, so do you still think I should learn/use anti CLL?

  • @huntforfood99 You don't need to know any more algs if you already know CLL. People learn EG-2 because the algorithms are faster (or the same) as doing anti-CLL. EG-2 isn't a lot faster than anti-CLL, it's just something you learn to get that little bit faster when you have practiced a lot with EG-1 and CLL.
