These were the last three tornadoes we saw on May 24. Then we got pounded by the core of the storm. Always a little unnerving when the winds get that strong and your outside...

In regards to all the comments about it being a bad idea to hide under an overpass - yes, I think every storm chaser and their grandma knows all about what happened on May 3rd and how dangerous it is. Clearly it's a terrible place to hide when a tornado is going to strike. But when you know the tornado has passed and you're just trying to avoid hail hitting the car, it's not the same thing.

  • as I said in the last two replies, we were not hiding from the tornado! It had passed us and we were sure it was not going to hit us. We were avoiding the hail.

  • Winds of a tornado get compressed under an overpass making them faster and you will get blown out from under it. Some people in Oklahoma in the moster 1999 tornado tried that and sucked from under the over pass were killed.

  • @guitarest452452 No he is perfectly safe under that over pass. He wanst avoiding the tornado he was avoiding the hail core of the thunderstorm. Its a bad idea to use them as a tornado shelter but as a place to avoid hail its perfectly fine.

  • You'd be safer in the middle of the street than under that overpass.

  • Pretty awsome stuff.

  • i actually think its doing over 70 maybe 80 or possibly 90

  • Smooth move going under an over pass thats totaly gonna "protect" u

  • your an idiot...

  • @erwintommy its like that where i live too...i have never seen one where il live at all though

  • Thank you for you video so much!! As i get to know the systems and powers in nature, i understand we are just something in between. 0:50 and above it is just reminds me like an ant which hide under a stone when humen are washing oure cortyrad. Tornado toward us is just like that our cortyard wash toward an ant.
