  • it looks like he has some sort of movie in his head on the music he plays:P

  • I heard about Barenboim that he know more than 250 pieces by heart...

  • @Achtelnote It's not about theory, it's about the experience behind you. The more you play the easier it will get to remember them and learn new ones. Of course theory helps you to make a mental map of the piece, but mostly the pieces are in your muscle memory. Well some have it in their heads some have it in their "hands". Depends on the player anyway.

  • @jdurr4 I know, sometimes I just watch him because of it and his unpredictability!

  • thats normal for a pianist.

50 hours repertoire is nothing special.

you have to know the theorie, then you can memorize a lot of music.

  • This is music after dinner time!

  • I wonder how many pieces he knows by memory? It's amazing how they can take a new piece and rehearse that day with an orchestra. That's the real talent if you ask me.

  • I love LANG LANG! What a beautiful musician! Such a dear soul.

  • I Love the faces he pulls! :)
