I still care lol The Speed Bag helps with Hand & Eye coordination.That is why you can't step up to it and hit it right away as you would the Heavy Bag or Mitts.As you know, it also helps to develop your shoulder muscles.It plays an over all part in the conditioning of a fighter just as the other exercises do.

@ESSENCEOFEACHTHING i know your comment is old and you probably no longer give a fuck lol. but the speed bag does nothing for you in the ring, it's a wast of time. it doesn't build speed, you don't punch it with your fist you hit it with the back of your hand so it's not like it teaches you how to throw punches, it's just for waming up. no one gains a signifigant edge from speed bag trainning. just a way to get the blood pumping before your workout. I boxed from age 12-24.

the speed bag is an overrated aspect of trainning. it doesn't develop speed, the way you hit it with the back of your hand isn't even how you'd throw a blow in a match. a double ened bag, and a heavy bad is all you need to be great. Mosley sucks on the speed bag, but he'd drop damn near anybody in the ring in his prime.

He has a nice solid chin that you can't train to get though. Speed bag just helps you keep your hands up and get a rhythm. He's black so he has rhythm already lol (jokes)
