@M0ToRRR Amazing, because my mouse that has the same laser technology, works on every surface I've tried, even glass, but of course it might not be fair to say that it would work on all glass surface, mine isn't very clear and has some solid to reflect on.
Even then, you don't want to use the mouse on, let's say for instance, anything like carpet or the couch, because the material will get stuck on the lens.
Your mouse is either defective, or your complete bullshit.
@RareJj7 Microsoft mice were mediocre and stayed mediocre. It's just their marketing found a new way to draw attention.
I saw these interviews and some reviews of SideWinder X8 and bought one just to find out that this $100 mouse fails to track on every surface I tried, except a mouse pad. Huge disapointment, nothing to be proud of.
this is a year ago but it isn't a direct response, just response to the next person who sees it
The point is, is that most consumers want a mouse that is pretty good but they do not want anything over 40$ most of the time, adding bluetooth will just hinder that marketing technique.
But by now they've released a bluetooth version, also, not everything has a bluetooth adapter :P
This makes sence, The Difference between Blu-ray and DVD is all in the blue laser that is used. The blue laser can be pinpointed onto a much more defined surface giving more storage options availible in a Blu-ray disc instead of a DVD, This same technology is now in a mouse!
@M0ToRRR Your asking me to chill out when it's you that's having a hard time, yeah, very ironic... :P

@RareJj7 You need to chill out, buddy. Is it school that influences you so badly?

@M0ToRRR Those were just examples. Why take every little thing so seriously?
Regardless, how the hell is your mouse not tracking very well on anything else but a mouse pad?

@RareJj7 Oh, I track on carpet every day. And sometimes on a couch. WTF?
