live.pirillo.com - geeks.pirillo.com - Sara Davies was one of the Ignite speakers recently at the Gnomedex conference in Seattle. Her talk, "The Geeks Shall Inherit the Earth", received some of the best feedback from our live chatters out of all speakers. Her talk was funny, insightful and left us wanting more.

  • @evanstorm11

    - you may want to change that...

    too close to 'Nittist' :P

Which means to be a highly religious person (jesus toast!)

  • amazing plan

  • erectuses? is that right? Please excuse my ignorance, I'm only a NIT (nerd in training)

  • i love this

  • Since when does blogging and using Facebook make you a geek? No, the geeks are the people that write the code and develop the insanely awesome frameworks for those social networking platforms.

The thing that cracks me up about this video is most of this stuff isn't even that geeky - it's in fact very common, every day stuff that a lot of people use without thinking. Did she say Cat 5 cable? That's insane!!!!!

  • This was so... AWESOME! Some of these I don't think I was around long enough for, but I don't mind the twitter ban, but I'd be afraid my buildings would be un-notable and I'd have nowhere else to live....

  • she is a comedian, isn't she?

if not, I would be shocked...

  • VIRGIN ALERT!!!!!!!!

  • nice!!!!!!!!!!!!! we shall take over you all

  • Yes, geeks shall inherit the earth.

This lady has a good strategy. The chavs do have the advantage over us in terms of breeding, but I think sticking them all in a matrix-style environment, where they can fight amongst themselves is a great idea.
