When you have a super majority in both houses and a president of the same party it doesn't matter what the opposition does if your side will work together. President Clinton is a Rhodes scholar, and an expert political operator. He was quite well aware of everything that was going on during his administration, and "knew what he was signing".

Oh - I connected the dots. That bill was the brainchild of 3 Republicans. I doubt Clinton even knew what he was signing. And in the senate only one fucking Democrat voted for it. It's like with NAFTA. You assholes blame Clinton for it because he signed it - but it was H W Bush's baby. He even tried to fast track it before his term ran out. And the securities wouldn't have played a part without the bubble. Greenspan fueled it with easy money. And Bush's programs expanded the shit out of it.
