"Kerplunk" (www.vinnydavismusic.com) is the video for a new track on Vinny Davis' upcoming album, "New & Improved Sparkling Emptiness" -VDM Records, 2007
I agree. The more I listen to this the more I like it. I find that with a lot of his music. I can go back to any album and find new things. It's like a treasure hunt, he has these little gems hidden every where. You don't get that in the bubble gum, soda pop, garbage that clutters the airwaves of bovine america.
I very much liked Vinny's video -- it sends a chilling message about our government and does it with humor, something in short supply with much of today's artists. The song itself is cool, unusually busy and fast for a Vinny Davis song, but that's what great about him - he keeps reaching for new ideas and avenues with every new album. I highly recommend his new album 'New & Improved Sparkling Emptiness' -- and of his past efforts, 'In the Direction You're Falling'
I have some old stuff and would love to get his latest CD. Do you know if he is set up to take orders? Does he have a website? I can't find it on itunes or in Best Buy.
Vinny davis once again tells it how it is in this real "State of the Union address". Once again Vinny Davis lives up to the high expectations I have based on his previous body of work. Vinny Davis is the greatest creator of music the world has not found out about yet. Vinny Davis is never watered down and for those that dig this little diddy I highly suggest checking out some of his other work.
Hey Vinny - Stu turned me on to your vid, and i like yr stuff. Very original. I'm gonna check out some more. Last time we met, we were wrestling on the floor of JHS 135!
The CD mix is much clearer, and it comes with the DVD which also has a better sound. You've got to check out the lyrics(included), now I know why he's called "The Great Unknown"!
I think you guys have something good here. Just wish I could hear the lyrics better. They seem a little low and the music seems to muddle the lyrics into the background. Best of luck with any other projects you and your crew are working on. Vinny Davis will take over the world.
That's my boy!
