Pride & Prejudice (Opening Title Sequence)

This is a project I did for my motion graphics class! We had to do an opening title sequence for a movie so of course I choose Pride & Prejudice! :) The idea was to give it this sketchy look to the characters and make them into drawings. The flickering effect is representing candlelight to give it the feel of that time period. Also adding the old textured florishes and background to give it that time period look as well. I hope you like it! It came out to about 135 layers for 2 minutes of video by the time I was done! Yes, many hours spent starting out putting it together in Adobe Photoshop and then into Adobe After Effects. Just to let you know I did leave out two characters from this, Charlotte Lucas and Caroline Bingley. We didn't have to use all the characters for the project. Do you think this could easily be the opening for the movie? Let me know what you think and thanks for watching! :)

I think it is very nice! You attend some arts school? With which programme did you make it?

@17kata17 Thank you, I made it over 3 years ago when I was in school. I went to a university and Art was my major. I used Adobe After Effects. :-)

There are some parts that could use a little bit of work, but that doesn't make it bad! I find it quite impressive, actually. Try not to get so riled up over one comment; with some practice, you'll get even better. And then all of your detractors will weep! ;D

I think it's beautiful! I would easily accept this as the opening! The one thing that is disturbing me is the flickering, I think it darkens the picture too much, but maybe that's just me!

I like this a lot don't listen to the haters! The are some really rubbish sequences out there made by the top guns and this is spot on in terms of the mood of the film itself. I am currently stuggling to get rid of my motionn graphics project which is a total and utta' B!TC#!!!!
