The tune is credited to Jessie Seymour Irvine 1836 -- 1883. She was the daughter of a parish minister who served at Dunottar, Peterhead, and Crimond--the--Town. It is this place which she named the tune after .
I'm sure you'll all recognise it however as the tune from the 23rd psalm.

  • You tell your wife it's not screechy at all Graham. You've put a lot of feeling into this beautiful old hymn, and it's turned out wonderfully.
