Eastbound coal train B842 is seen climbing uphill at Dickerson, MD on the Metropolitan Sub. Even with two helpers on the rear, full throttle is required to keep this train moving. This train is bound for Benning Yard in Washington, DC, and the coal will eventually go to one of two power plants in eastern Maryland on the Pope's Creek Sub. Helpers are often used on loaded coal trains east of Brunswick, both on the Old Main Line and Metropolitan Subdivisions. The two standard cab EMD's shoving this train provide excellent audio as they push toward the summit.
Nice!

8863 is an ex Conrail SD40-2. The cab signal box just in front of the engineer's side of the cab gives it away. SD40-2's from CSX predecessors do not have this cab signal box.
