Soñaban con su tercera copa del mundo y no se les cumplió. Se lo habían hecho los argentinos a los alemanes un mundial atrás, en México 86, pero aprendieron los teutoenes la lección. Desde entonces, Argentina sí que se encoge ante la Alemania. Esta entrada fue terrible, con toda la intención de lastimar y cortar el avance. No tenía buena reputación Klismann, que no por nada era el "rey de zambullida", pero aquí fue notoria la agresión contra él. Una de las finales más cerradas de la historia...

It was a dive... But it was also a studs up tackle on a forward who was in the attacking third that didn't get close to the ball, which is a red card.

If the dive was overly dramatic, why the heck didn't Klinsmann get carded as well for such a blatant dive then?
The most Monzon should have got was a yellow card as well as Klinsmann for his exaggerated fall, acting as if he got hit in the leg by a sniper rifle.
