Keep your audience's interest by preventing black screens while mixing music videos and audio only tracks in VirtualDJ. In this video I demonstrate how to configure VirtualDJ to show the preselected [and preinstalled] visual plug, when mixing an audio track after a music video.

In this video I used VirtualDJ version 3.1 and visual plugins of the .svp format.

I screen recorded the video and corresponding audio with Camtasia Studio. Edited with Camtasia and added titles in Windows Movie Maker.

  • @Charizilla You have to download it.

  • how can i install new plugins?

  • I really can't know what comes preinstalled with each system! Besides, these visual plugins must sit in a specific Virtual DJ program subfolder. The visual plugin I used in this demonstration comes from the free package "ZAP Visual Plugin" which contains about 20 files!

  • It works great with Virtual DJ version 3.1 which I have. I do not know about earlier versions.

You can easily find free *.svp files on the internet. Try a search at the fora of Virtual DJ's official site or a google search or even a search using a P2P network.
