I think it is absolutely a beautiful building. However, the ceiling is so high I want to know how much energy is wasted to heat the building. Also, every time I drive by at night the lights are all on. This is yet another waste. I want to know how much of my tuition is being spent on the bills the building creates.
@Buffbillox - And also, senior year, was out with friends/neighbors, enjoying a nice day on our front lawns not bothering anyone and not acting obnoxious, and cops kept driving by. Two squad cars finally stopped when one of our friends had ONE foot on the sidewalk. The cop dumped out his beer and wrote him a citation for open container. Whadda buncha no-life, low-life, hicks.
@Buffbillox - I'm totally with you on that. "Close to the city"? Hardly. "Personalized attention"? Only when you're writing checks. If my professors really knew what they were talking about, they would've told me to minor in design seeing as a LOT of marketing jobs (I was a MKTG major) are looking for design knowledge in addition to the degree.
Oh and by the way, the few fraternities that are left live in death traps owned by slum lords. Lets build a new chow hall instead of safe Greek housing. I am so ashamed of my university and the state of Athletics, Greek life and school spirit. How many students go home every weekend? What a shame.
Hey, here's a great idea, let's cut faculty like crazy, and with the extra money we can build a big fancy dining hall, filled with crappy food. In the meantime, we can let all of the important academic buildings go to waste, such as the Fine Arts Building, the English Building, and the Education Building. At least we will have one large dining hall that serves no educational purpose whatsoever.
i earn three degrees from clarion and in all those many years they NEVER updated the food at the cafeteria. WHen they made changes they were cosmetic ones.

Well, with Gemmell, the food is excellent.. so, if this new building comes with new food like Gemmell did... that'd be amazing.
